Barriers To Peak Performance

How to remove the ceiling

"Limitations begin in the mind. New habits pierce these barriers."-anonymous

Limitations occur in many forms in the athlete-mental, nutritional, muscular, flexibility, etc. Over the years, research has continually strived to reduce the limitations, thus allowing improved performance over time. World records continue to be set verifying the presence of these improved efforts.

Muscle Barriers

The athlete has reached tremendous levels despite a glaring limitation which is present in all athletes. As muscles work to train and compete, a by-products in the muscle. The accumulation of waste products in the muscle. These accumulations, which are "knots" in the muscle, produce problems which all athletes suffer from, and can be virtually eliminated with proper knowledge.

Trigger Points

Trigger points accumulate as activity levels increase. Each of us have a different rate of metabolism, or elimination of trigger points after exercise, but accumulation is inevitable. Once a trigger point forms in a muscle fiber, the muscle goes through negative changes, producing

Massage

Until now, only elite and professional athletes have had the luxury of frequent massages, which partially reduces trigger point accumulation. Taking the time and cost into consideration, this treatment is not practical to the masses.

The Stick®

The one of the advanced tools that allows all athletes to better locate and eliminate trigger point accumulation multiple times per day. The application of this technique can be done alone, and is both easy and convenient. Application should be employed before, during and after activity. Consistency, similar to stretching is the key to success.
