Simple Great Results Program
Great abs require low body fat levels and decent abdominal muscle development. To best achieve these goals, you need:
Correct food Intake;
Proper muscle training techniques;
Proper non-fuel fueling;

My program is very simple yet it accounts for all of these factors.

Food Intake
I maintain a high protein and low carbohydrate diet at all times. The more I want my abs to define, the lower I drop my carbohydrates. Normally, I eat between 80-100 grams of carbs daily and at least 125 grams of protein. I don't bother to count my fat grams as most of the fat I eat is from meat and I know I burn this right away during exercise. If I want to define my abs better for a show or modeling assignment, I will drop my carbs to 40-60 grams daily. In my opinion, this is the most important element in getting the great abs you dream about. One thing that I want to mention is specific food selection. I hate to tell people this is what you must eat or this is a food you must avoid. I would rather a person makes their own intelligent decisions through learning about the carb and protein content of various foods. Read the labels and buy a good Food Count paperback. I use Corinne Netzger's book, The Complete Book of Food Counts. This will enable to stay lean and fit for a lifetime.

Muscle Training
I have a decent abdominal muscle bed by now so I only train my abs twice a week for about 20 minutes a session. I change my exercises all the time normally incorporating 2-3 different exercises per ab workout. I work my abs to fatigue so the total number of sets will vary depending on the specific exercises I am using. When I started training my abs, I worked them three times a week as I was not able to sustain intense ab contractions for very many minutes in a workout session. Take heart, I remember my first ab session where I totally fatigued after only two minutes!!

Non Food Fuels:
I do not go overboard with supplements. Aside from increasing my protein with various bars, powders or liquid drinks, I will always use the following products when I want to insure excellent ab definition:
1. GABA. I use at least 5 grams pure powder right before bed. I use InShape Dream Shape.
2. Glutamine. I use 5 grams pure powder twice daily. I use ISP Glutamine. This also increases my energy levels.
3. AM Abs Formula. Outlaw Biosciences. I take two, without fail, every morning after eating. I find that this product gives me an extra aerobic punch for kickboxing and other cardio pursuits.
4. Bug Juice Trigger Factors. I take 1-2 pills every day always before training on my exercise days. This also increases energy, stamina and makes me feel great.
5.Mood Food by Trigger Factors. I take 1-2 caps in the morning and afternoon, to help me improve mood and cognitive function, for a safe and healthy fat loss.
That is my total program. There is no magic here; just good sound body management principles. If you are able to keep those carbs low, train your abs appropriately and get on a decent program of non food fuels, I guarantee you results. And feel free to e-mail me if you have questions or just need some good support.
